Restaurant Serving Human Flesh Shut Down in Anambra State

Well considering the “otokoto” legend of many years ago, I think there is a great possibility this story is true. What I do not subscribe to is the notion of a menu actually alerting people to the possibility of being served human flesh. As our nation descends into further chaos, we see more of such stories. Question is, what is the source of this human flesh being served? Freshly dug up corpses or, worse, freshly MURDERED people?

I guess we will never really know.

Army caps and ‘so many cell phones’ were also seized

Police arrested 11 people and closed a restaurant after two human heads wrapped in cellophane were discovered at a hotel restaurant that had been serving human flesh.

A tip-off led police to the macabre discovery in Anambra, Nigeria, with 11 people being arrested and AK-47 guns and other weapons being seized.

Human flesh was apparently being sold as an expensive treat at the restaurant, with authorities saying that roasted human head was even on the menu.

“I went to the hotel early this year, after eating, I was told that a lump of meat was being sold at N700, I was surprised,” a pastor who had visited the eatery said.

“So I did not know it was human meat that I ate at such expensive price.

“What is this country turning into? Can you imagine people selling human flesh as meat,” he added. “Seriously I’m beginning to fear people in this part of the world. ”

Another local added to the Osun Defender newspaper: “I always noticed funny movements in and out of the hotel; dirty people with dirty characters always come into the hotel.

“So, I was not surprised when the police made this discovery in the early hours of yesterday.”

The tabloid reported that two army caps, 40 rounds of live ammunition and ‘so many cell phones’ were also discovered by authorities.

Being gay IS in your genes, say scientists in controversial new DNA study

I know this will be extremely controversial but could these scientists be unto something?

  • Two stretches of DNA linked to  homosexuality in men discovered
  • Strengthens claims homosexuality is  decided by biology, not choice
  • Fears breakthrough could be used to  develop tests for expecting mothers
  • Reignites debate over whether a ‘gay  gene’ exists

Being gay could be in the  DNA.

Scientists have found two stretches of DNA linked to homosexuality in men.

The confirmation of the existence of a ‘gay  gene’ or genes will strengthen arguments that homosexuality is a matter of  biology, rather than choice.

WHAT MAKES A HOMOSEXUAL?

Other studies suggests that conditions in the  womb also influence sexual orientation.

For instance, the more older male siblings a  man has, the greater chance he will be gay.

Scientists say the phenomenon cannot be  explained by the youngest boy being babied and mollycoddled or other differences  in the way they are brought up.

It is thought that carrying a male baby in  the womb triggers an immune response in the mother, creating antibodies that  attack part of the unborn child’s brain linked to sexual orientation.

This response gets stronger the more boys a  woman carries, raising the odds of homosexuality.

Exposure to hormones in the womb is also  likely to be important and some argue that upbringing plays a role in  sexuality.

However, it also raises the prospect of a  genetic test that could be used by insurance companies to discriminate against  clients or by pregnant women to abort gay babies.

In the study, Chicago University researchers  analysed the DNA of more than 400 pairs of gay brothers, recruited at Gay Pride  festivals at marches over several years.

This revealed flagged up two pieces of DNA  that seem to be linked to homosexuality.

It is not known which of the many genes they  contain are key or how they affect the development of sexual  orientation.

However, the result, revealed at a science  event in Chicago, backs up a contentious 1993 study.

That research, the first to find evidence of  a ‘gay gene’, created a storm of controversy, which was further fuelled when  other scientists failed to find a genetic link.

Dr Michael Bailey from Northwestern  University in Illinois, who contributed to the latest study, said it is the  biggest of its kind.

He added: ‘Sexual orientation has nothing to  do with choice. Our findings suggest there may be genes at play – we found  evidence for two sets that affect whether a man is gay or straight.

‘Although this could one day lead to a  pre-natal test for male sexual orientation, it would not be very accurate, as  there are other factors that can influence the outcome.’

Despite this, he would not would not object  to a prenatal test being developed.

He said: ‘Clearly parents should not be  allowed to torture or kill babies. But they can currently choose to terminate a  pregnancy early on, so they should be allowed to have as much information on the  future child as possible.’

Mother’s anguish at the ‘monster’ she let stay at her house who stabbed her four-year-old boy to death as he slept

They do say no good deed goes unpunished. Really tragic story.

  • Anwar Rosser given whole-life tariff for  murder of Riley Turner, four
  • Former soldier stabbed child 30 times as  he slept in his own bed
  • Rosser allowed to stay at house after  Riley’s mother ‘took pity on him’

By Chris  Brooke and James Rush

Anwar Rosser has been told he will never be released from prison after he admitted the 'savage' and 'sadistic' murder of a 'happy and bubbly' four-year-old boy

Anwar Rosser has been told he will never be released  from prison after he admitted the ‘savage’ and ‘sadistic’ murder of a ‘happy and  bubbly’ four-year-old boy

The mother of a four-year-old boy savagely  murdered by a friend who was allowed to sleep on her sofa has said she feels ‘so  much guilt’ over letting the ‘monster’ stay with them.

Sharon Smith and her partner Guy Earwaker had  thought psychopath Anwar Daniel Rosser was a harmless neighbour and allowed him  to stay at their house when he asked after turning up after a night  out.

In the early hours, the 33-year-old sneaked  upstairs armed with four knives and stabbed Riley Turner to death.

He then crept into another bedroom where the  boy’s mother and her partner were sleeping and curled up to sleep on the  floor.

In a victim impact statement read in court  Miss Smith said: ‘I wish I had told the monster no that night when he asked if  he could sleep. He said people were outside his house and were going to beat him  up and I believed him. I didn’t want him to get beaten up, but all along he had  a knife in his pocket, plotting to hurt one of us, or all of us.

‘I feel so much guilt that my poor son had to  go through such horrific things because my kind heart didn’t want to let that  monster get beaten up. Now my kind heart cost me my son’s life.

‘I don’t feel like ever being nice to people  at all except my family. The guilt eats me away every day. What he’s done is  unforgivable, he’s ruined our lives.’

In the morning, following the attack, the  mother-of-three, 26, was shocked to find Rosser curled up in a ball on the floor  next to her, and ordered him to leave.

Moments later her partner, Guy Earwaker,  noticed Riley’s light on and went to check his room – only to find it covered in  blood and the boy semi-naked and dead on the bed with his throat cut.

Riley had been strangled, repeatedly stabbed  and attacked in a sexual manner. Chillingly, Rosser had waited downstairs to  hear the anguished screams. He escaped, but was arrested later by  police.

Yesterday Rosser, a former soldier with a  history of being violent when drunk, admitted murder at Bradford Crown Court.  Experts agreed he was not mad but was a psychopath who could commit more ‘acts  of sadistic homicide’.

Mr Justice Coulson branded him an  ‘exceptionally dangerous man’ who had shown ‘appalling savagery’. He jailed  Rosser for life and there were emotional scenes in the public gallery as the  judged ordered he remain behind bars ‘for the rest of his natural  life’.

Victim impact statements read in court showed  how the family’s life has been devastated. Miss Smith described Rosser as a  ‘sick monster’ and said she had been frightened to go outside since the murder.

‘I get in a panic when a man walks past. I  don’t trust men at all.’

Riley was described as an 'extremely happy, active and popular little boy who was particularly close to his twin brother'

Riley was described as an ‘extremely happy, active and  popular little boy who was particularly close to his twin brother’

She said Riley was a ‘happy, bubbly, caring  and loving’ child and she was enduring a ‘bad nightmare’ without him. ‘This  monster has hurt us so much, we will never ever recover from this.’ Riley’s  identical twin brother Mackenzie regularly asks why he can’t ‘go to the sky’ to  play with his brother.

The court heard Rosser had gone to the  family’s house after spending the evening in a local pub. He asked to stay  overnight – telling the couple he feared people he owed money to were waiting  for him to return home and would beat him up.

Miss Smith and other relatives left the court  when prosecutor Paul Greaney, QC, detailed the horrific nature of the ‘sadistic’  murder, which had a ‘strong sexual component’.

The court heard that Miss Smith and Mr  Earwaker, 23, had been friends with Rosser for a few months, and had shown  ‘considerable kindness’ by helping the part-time chef to furnish his nearby  flat. There had never been an argument between them.

Rosser had turned up at Riley’s family home  in Keighley, West Yorkshire, on January 19 last year after spending the evening  drinking. He was described as ‘intoxicated’ but in control, the court  heard.

Riley, Mackenzie and 18-month-old brother  Tyler were asleep in separate rooms upstairs when the couple went to bed,  leaving Rosser to sleep on the sofa.

Speaking after the sentencing,  Detective  Superintendent Mark Ridley, Senior Investigating Officer,  said: ‘This has been  an incredibly horrifying and tragic case which has  had a profound effect on all  those involved in the investigation.

‘Riley was a very much loved son, grandson  and brother who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

‘Rosser abused the kindness and compassion  shown to him by Riley’s family, when they allowed him to stay in the safety of  their own home.

‘He has shown no remorse or compassion for  the pain suffered by Riley’s  family by offering an explanation for his savage  and gratuitous actions.

‘The death of Riley in such circumstances  provides a clear indication that  Rosser presents a significant danger to all  those who may come into  contact with him, which is reflected in the (whole  life) sentence  imposed upon him today.

‘Today brings to an end what has been a very  sad and disturbing case.’

At 4am, Miss Smith woke up ‘scared’ to see  Rosser next to her. He apologised for upsetting her, asked for tobacco and left  the room. Moments later Mr Earwaker walked into an unimaginable scene of horror  in Riley’s bedroom.

‘He entered the room and then returned to his  own bedroom in a panic,’ said Mr Greaney. He was ‘unable to speak’ out of trauma  and the mother then saw for herself what had happened.

After being taken to a police station later  that morning, Rosser said: ‘I know I’ve done summat, but I don’t know  what.’

The court heard that Rosser had been adopted  at five by a professional couple and given a loving upbringing. But despite a  stable home life, he was in trouble from an early age, starting fires and  bullying other children.

At 16, he carried out a similarly chilling  and motiveless attack on an ‘innocent, sleeping victim’ when he smashed a trophy  on to the head of another 16-year-old who was ‘crashed out in a bedroom’ during  a house party.

Rosser joined the Army but was discharged  without seeing active service because of aggressive drunken behaviour.

He became an alcoholic and was in regular  trouble for ‘drink-induced anger’.

Rosser was even arrested on a hospital ward,  where his mental health was being assessed, because he was threatening  staff.

Outside court, Detective Superintendent Mark  Ridley said Rosser ‘abused the kindness and compassion shown to him by Riley’s  family’ and he has ‘offered no explanation for his savage and gratuitous  actions’.

Baby mauled to death by her mother’s dog: Couple arrested after child was savaged by their pit bull-type pet

I love dogs. I really do. Incidentally I happen to love cats too. I have been told that fundamentally impossible. You cant be a dog and cat person. What can I say. I am.

I have not kept any for years due to a hectic schedule that keeps me frequently on the road but I would certainly love to. One thing I won’t do and never urge any parent to, is encourage a “friendship” between an infant and any pet. For one thing, the pet is first of all an animal which functions primarily on instinct and is unable to communicate as effectively as humans. Bottom-line your dog, cat, pet snake e.t.c can’t verbalise stuff. For another thing I have seen babies get really rough with pets many of whom remain uncannily patient with babies even when being hurt.

But every now and then, a pet snaps.

I really hate to think the parents are suspects right now because I can only imagine the pain they must be going through especially if they are truly innocent. See how lovely this baby is. It horrifies me the agonizing death she had to bear at the hands (teeth?) of a dog.

May her beautiful soul rest in peace, and parents, please be careful with pets around babies.

The father of a baby girl who was mauled to  death by a pet dog today paid tribute to his ‘beautiful little  girl’.

Ava-Jayne Corless, aged 11 months, was rushed  to hospital at around 11pm yesterday after she was attacked by a pit bull while  in bed at her stepfather’s home in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Police officers and paramedics attempted to  revive her but she was pronounced dead at the Royal Blackburn  Hospital.

The victim’s mother and stepfather,  who were  downstairs at the time of the attack, have been arrested on  suspicion of  manslaughter.

The exact breed of the pet – which has now  been destroyed – is not known,  but police believe that it was a pitbull  terrier-type dog, which is a prohibited breed.

Lancashire Police say they dog involved in  the attack was banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act  1991.

Ava-Jayne’s father Dean Corless today  revealed his grief at hearing of the attack,  saying: ‘I am absolutely  devastated after what has happened. I found out late last night and rushed to  the hospital to see her straight away.’

The 24-year-old added: ‘She was the most  beautiful and adorable little girl, she was just the best. She was my whole  world.

‘I will miss her every single day, I just  don’t know what to do now. It is just so tragic. I have my family around me now,  but we are all  devastated.’

Grandmother Bernadette Corless added: ‘She  was so young, it is so unfair for a baby to be taken away at that  age.

‘She was just beautiful – like a china doll.  She was a lively baby and was always happy.’

Mr Corless said that he dated Ava-Jayne’s  mother, Chloe King, for four years before the pair split up last  summer.

Ms King, 20, and her new boyfriend  Lee  Wright, 26, were arrested in the wake of the girl’s death and  questioned on  suspicion of child neglect, before being re-arrested on  suspicion of  manslaughter.

A post-mortem will take place to find out the  exact cause of death.

Chief Superintendent Chris Bithell said:  ‘This is an absolutely horrific incident in which a baby girl has lost her life  and I would like to take this opportunity to express my own personal sympathy to  the wider family of baby Ava.

Recounting the details of the attack, he  added: ‘The baby was upstairs in a bed in one of the front bedrooms and the two  people who are currently in custody, they were downstairs when the attack took  place.

‘The dog is believed to be an American pit  bull type, it has been destroyed and tests will be carried out today to  establish the exact breed of the dog and inquiries into the history of the  animal.’

Police are investigating claims that  neighbours have previously complained about dangerous dogs living at the  house.

Local residents reported seeing police  struggle to enter the house on Emily Street as the cross-breed dog raged out of  control.

A specialist team later managed to detain the  animal and took it away as part of the investigation before destroying  it.

The dog, described by neighbours as ‘vicious  and terrifying’, apparently attacked and  killed a cat in the area last year,  prompting questions as to why it was not brought under control  earlier.

‘That dog is a menace, it was a  nightmare  for neighbours and people were terrified of approaching it in  the street,’ said  next-door neighbour Brian Harrison.

‘Such a small girl against the dog is an  unfair battle. It’s an absolute tragedy that should never have  happened –  there’s been plenty of warning signs in the past.

‘Only last year it mauled to death a  neighbour’s cat and nothing was done about it.’

The RSPCA confirmed that it had been called  to the house after the death of a cat, although it concluded that the incident  was nothing more than an accident.

Mr Harrison added: ‘I’m surprised that such a  tiny baby has been allowed around it, I’m sure there’s days when it’s OK but it  only takes one thing to  trigger it.

Local MP Jack Straw delivered a passionate  appeal to drive out the scourge of dangerous dogs which have been responsible  for a string of brutal attacks on children.

‘This is the most awful killing, of an  innocent 11-month-old baby, by an out-of-control and self-evidently dangerous  dog,’ the former Home Secretary told the Lancashire Telegraph.

‘What will it take to convince people not to  keep dogs like this – and to get across to all dog-owners, of every breed of  dog, that no dog should ever be left unsupervised with a baby?’

In the wake of Ava-Jayne’s death, the union  that represents postal workers called for a major crackdown on dangerous dogs in  order to prevent similar incidents in future.

‘This is another tragic loss of life and  demonstrates the out-of-control situation that we have in the UK with  irresponsible dog ownership,’ a spokesman for the CWU said.

‘There have been 23 deaths from dog attacks  in the UK, the majority of which have been young children, and four of these  have occurred since 2005. Worryingly, there has been a sharp increase in recent  years.

‘Dog control laws in England and Wales are  rightly being strengthened later this year. Current arrangements are simply not  good enough and the punishments do not fit the crimes.’

BRITAIN’S TRAGIC HISTORY OF FATAL MAULINGS BY DEVIL  DOGS

Horror: Four-year-old Lexi Branson was killed by a pet dog three months ago

Horror: Four-year-old Lexi Branson was killed by a pet  dog three months ago

In November last year, four-year-old Lexi  Branson was mauled to death by a pet dog despite her mother’s desperate  attempts to halt the attack. Lexi, described as a ‘happy and sweet’ girl, died  after being attacked at a flat in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire. It later emerged  that the dog had been a stray until a couple of months earlier.

In June 2013, a five-year-old boy was  taken to hospital after being mauled by a dog in Co Antrim, Ireland. The attack  happened at Carniny Primary School on the outskirts of Ballymena. It was later  confirmed that the dog was being shown to schoolchildren as a last-day-of-term  treat.

Last May, Clifford Clarke, 79, was  killed in a dog attack in his garden in Liverpool. The retired hospital porter  suffered fatal injuries after being mauled by a bull mastiff cross which was  reported to have found a way into Mr Clarke’s garden from a neighbouring house.  The dogs was shot dead by armed officers and two women were arrested on  suspicion of manslaughter.

Two months earlier, Jade Anderson, 14,  was mauled to death by four dogs while visiting her friend near Wigan. The girl  was discovered by armed police at a friend’s house amid a pack of aggressive  dogs. The animals, who were not banned breeds, were put down. The owner of the  animals was given a suspended 16-week sentence for animal cruelty last  month.

In November 2012, 71-year-old Gloria  Knowles died after being attacked by a pack of dogs belonging to her  daughter that she had gone to feed. The great-grandmother was found dead with  multiple injuries at a house with five dogs in Morden, south  London.

In March 2011, Jude Keir, nine,  suffered severe head injuries when he was mauled by a Staffordshire bull terrier  outside his school in Scotland. The young boy needed 40 stitches and only  survived because two people dragged the dog off him.

In November 2009, four-year-old John-Paul  Massey died after suffering multiple injuries when he was savaged by the  family pet at his grandmother’s home in November 2009. The animal, named Uno,  was an illegal pitbull-type dog belonging to his uncle, who was jailed for four  months

Woody Allen responds to Dylan Farrow’s letter, blames Mia Farrow for sex abuse allegations

This is a dude who seduced and married his partner’s adopted daughter after having sex with her while she was still a minor.

Allen, 78, blasts  Farrow in a New York Times opinion piece for coaching her daughter, Dylan  Farrow, to fabricate sex abuse allegations in 1992. A source close to the Farrow  family says Dylan feels Woody Allen is try to discredit and silence her.

Woody Allen denies sex abuse charges brought by Dylan Farrow

Wood Allen, seen here at the French premiere of ‘Blue Jasmine’ in Paris,  responded in a New York Times opinion piece to daughter Dylan Farrow’s claims  that he sexually abused her when she was a child.

Woody Allen fought back  on Friday against the allegation that he molested his daughter Dylan Farrow as a  child, again denying the accusation — just as he did when former flame Mia Farrow first pointed  the finger at him in the early 1990s.

In a scathing essay published on The New York Times website Friday night, Allen  responded to a letter Dylan Farrow, 28, published on Sunday that detailed  the alleged abuse. Allen blamed Mia Farrow for planting a fiction in Dylan’s  head as a young girl.

“Of course, I did not molest Dylan,” the 78-year-old director wrote. “I loved her and hope one  day she will grasp how she has been cheated out of having a loving father and  exploited by a mother more interested in her own festering anger than her  daughter’s well-being.”

Dylan Farrow recently wrote an open letter posted on the New York Times website detailing alleged abuse by Woody Allen when she was 7 years old.

Dylan Farrow recently wrote an open  letter posted on the New York Times website detailing alleged abuse by Woody  Allen when she was 7 years old.

Dylan Farrow responded with venom late Friday.

“Once again, Woody Allen is attacking me and my family in an effort to  discredit and silence me — but nothing he says or writes can change the truth,”  she said, according to a source close to the family. “For 20 years, I have never  wavered in describing what he did to me. I will carry the memories of surviving  these experiences for the rest of my life.”

Investigators had cleared Allen of the allegation that he molested Dylan at  Mia Farrow’s Connecticut home in 1992. The accusation was raised by Mia Farrow  the following year as she and Allen were in the midst of a nasty breakup fueled  by his relationship with Farrow’s young adopted daughter, Soon Yi Previn — his  future wife.

Woody Allen blasts ex-lover Mia  Farrow’s credibility, drawing on the paternity of their son Ronan Farrow, who  Mia has suggested was fathered by Frank Sinatra. Here, Farrow and Allen at  Madison Square Garden on April 30, 1983.

“The self-serving transparency of her malevolence seemed so obvious I didn’t  even hire a lawyer to defend myself,” Allen wrote in reference to Mia Farrow. “… I naïvely  thought the accusation would be dismissed out of hand because of course, I  hadn’t molested Dylan and any rational person would see the ploy for what it  was.”

He said the setting Mia Farrow chose in the narrative that he says she  invented — the attic — was ludicrous because he is a claustrophobe. And he said  he took a lie detector test and passed it but that Mia Farrow declined to take  one.

“Not that I doubt Dylan hasn’t come to believe she’s been molested, but if  from the age of 7 a vulnerable child is taught by a strong mother to hate her  father because he is a monster who abused her, is it so inconceivable that after  many years of this indoctrination the image of me Mia wanted to establish had  taken root?” Allen wrote.

Allen also tweaked Mia Farrow over the paternity of their son, Ronan, who  has been outspoken in his support of his mother and sister’s molestation  assertions. Recently, Mia Farrow has suggested that Ronan, with his blue eyes  and striking features, is the product of a fling she had with her ex-husband  Frank Sinatra while she was dating Allen.

“Is he my son or, as Mia suggests, Frank Sinatra’s? Granted, he looks a lot  like Frank, with the blue eyes and facial features, but if so what does this  say? That all during the custody hearing Mia lied under oath and falsely  represented Ronan as our son?” Allen wrote. “… Again, I want to call attention to the  integrity and honesty of a person who conducts her life like  that.”
