DNA test on fatherhood of Brandon Howard may actually match with Joe Jackson, Michael Jackson’s father

Well, well, well! Even as a kid I had my suspicions about the hit song Billie Jean and fully expected some girl to pop outta the woodwork to refute his denials but when It never happened (I waited some cool 5 years to hear that news) I shrugged it off and focused on other gossip.

Joe has been portrayed by the family as the villain but if it was Michael issuing a disclaimer all those years ago, then methinks Michael is most probably the father. The Jackson kids all bear a phenomenal resemblance to each other yea? (a pair of them Jermain and someone else actually look like twins to me) but to me this dude does not just bear that generic look, he particularly looks like Michael. He certainly resembles MJ a whole lot more than the ones who currently bear the family name.

Also the mother looks like she would have gone for MJ not JJ. They are closer in age and Michael was at the peak of his career when the Billie Jean song came out.

Or maybe its just wishful thinking on my part? By the way, I want to see pictures of the Jackson patriarch when he was younger. I am still trying to figure out how he produced such lovely kids!

The test first made an alleged link to the King of Pop himself, but a source close to the Daily News said the Jackson patriarch is actually the father of Howard, who is believed to be referenced in Michael Jackson’s 1982 hit ‘Billie Jean’ with the line: ‘The kid is not my son.’

BY AND / NEW YORK DAILY NEWSBrandon Howard , Michael Jackson's self-professed long lost son going public with DNA evidence Thursday.

At first, the DNA test allegedly showed that aspiring singer Brandon Howard is Michael Jackson’s son, but a source said the father is actually Jackson patriarch Joe Jackson.

It could have been the Jackson Six.

Organizers of an off-the-wall DNA test claimed on Thursday to have proven that Michael Jackson is the biological father of singer Brandon Howard.

But a source close to the Jackson clan told the Daily News that it was Joe Jackson — the King of Pop’s pop — who is the actual father.

Joe Jackson may actually be the father of Brandon Howard.

Joe Jackson may actually be the father of Brandon Howard.

Howard, who is believed to have been born in 1981, has long been rumored to be the child Jackson referenced in the 1982 hit “Billie Jean” with the line: “The kid is not my son.”

The Jackson family has long been aware of speculation that Howard is Michael Jackson’s son. They just don’t buy it.

“I’ve been hearing for years that Brandon is Joe’s son,” the source said.

Brandon Howard, reportedly born in 1981, is allegedly the child referenced in Michael Jackson's 1982 hit 'Billie Jean.'

Attempts to reach Howard, who does not have a birth certificate, were not immediately successful. His mother, 53-year-old pop singer Miki Howard, was reportedly repped by Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson in the 1980s. She also appeared in the 1993 movie “Poetic Justice” with Janet Jackson.

The genetic mystery — is he Jacko’s son or his brother — reached a bizarre peak at a press conference in Beverly Hills on Thursday that was organized by shipping heir Alki David and streamed live on his FilmOn.com website. Brandon Howard wasn’t present for the hyped announcement but confirmed in a Facebook post that he gave a DNA sample for the test.

Dr. Joseph Goodman, a Beverly Hills dental surgeon, revealed the results, and claimed he obtained a sample of Michael Jackson’s DNA from a dental device that had belonged to the “Thriller” singer. He purchased the device at auction.

Brandon Howard was allegedly conceived during a dalliance between the King of Pop's dad and singer Miki Howard, 53, a source tells the Daily News.

Goodman pulled a piece of paper from an envelope and said the test showed the “probability” of the King of Pop being a parental match was “99.9 percent.”

“I think we have the proof,” Goodman declared.

Despite Goodman’s claim, the paperwork did not include the names of the test subjects or the name of a testing lab, but David told viewers such tests are typically done anonymously and that other information was redacted as a security safeguard.

Brandon Howard provided a DNA sample for the test.

“I’m sure that there will be doubters and there will be haters and there will be those who create, build a controversy, but it is what it is,” David said.

Jackson estate lawyer Howard Weitzman didn’t see things that way, however.

“It sounds like a fraud to me,” Weitzman told the Daily News later Thursday.

Brandon Howard has admitted Michael Jackson is a big inspiration for his work, but he claimed Thursday he had nothing to do with David’s press conference.

“I’ve never self-proclaimed to be Michael Jackson’s son,” he said in a Facebook video. “I’m definitely not suing the estate. I’m taken care of very well. And also, I make my own cash, OK?” (Dee says: Right on bro! Thats the spirit!)

Former child actor Corey Feldman, who was pals with Michael Jackson during his moonwalking heyday, attended David’s press conference and told The News he believes The Gloved One is the father.

“Personally, I do, because I’ve never met two people who were more alike in my life,” Feldman, 42, said.

Wife killer Akolade Arowolo found guilty of murder, sentenced to death

Today is a day of great joy for me. It is a day of celebrating Nigeria’s justice system. The judiciary has finally made an example of a young man who became the croan prince of domestic violence in Nigeria.

Akolade Arowolo is a young man who murdered his wife in cold blood 3 years ago. He stabbed and slashed her up so badly the corpse was barely recognizable. He did try to defend himself by saying she stabbed herself to death but how anyone manages to stab themselves 76 times leaves me totally bewildered and I guess the judge was stumped too.

The death sentence does not do much for me (I dont subscribe to it) but I do wish he had been sentenced to life in prison so he could leisurely watch his life waste away. But the court has had its way and to the extent that justice is served, I am perfectly satisfied.

31-year-old Akolade Arowolo standing trial for allegedly killing his banker wife, Titilayo, on June 24, 2011 has today been sentenced to death by hanging by an Ikeja High court.

A Lagos High Court in Ikeja has sentenced to death Akolade Arowolo for the murder of his banker wife, Titilayo, who he repeatedly stabbed to death at their residence in Isolo, Lagos, on June 24, 2011.

Justice Lateefat Okunnu, in her judgment on Friday, held that even though there was no eyewitness to the incident, the circumstantial evidence adduced by the prosecution had proved the murder charge against the convict beyond all reasonable doubt.

“I pronouce the defendant guilty and accordingly sentenced to death,” the court held.

Okunnu relied on the testimony of the forensic pathologist, Prof. John Obafunwa, who testified that there were at least 76 stab wounds found on the deceased.

Contrary to the convict’s claim during trial, Obafunwa had testified that the injuries must have been caused by sharp weapon applied on the deceased could not have been self-inflicted.

The judge said, “Applying the eliminating induction by eliminating other factors; judging by this case the factors, including the possibilities of another person entering the flat to stab the deceased to death, the possibility of the deceased stabbing herself and the possibility that the wounds were caused in autopsy room; it is my finding that no other persons but the defendant stabbed Omotunde to death.

“This established the causal link between the death and the defendant.”

The 32-year-old man, who was arraigned for murder on December 21, 2011, was said to have murdered his wife, Titilayo, at their residence at No. 8, Akindehinde Street, Isolo, Lagos.

The deceased was then an employee of Skye Bank Plc.

Obafunwa, who carried out the autopsy on the corpse of the deceased, had said there were at least 76 stab wounds on the body.

He described some of the wounds as penetrating the heart, and damaging other organs including, the diaphragm, lung and the liver of the deceased.

“I summarise the death of the deceased as caused by multiple injuries on the heart and abdomen due to knife and sharp blunt force trauma,” Obafunwa had told the court.

The prosecution led by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, Mrs. Olabisi Ogungbesan, called 15 witnesses among whom were police officers and the father, sisters and step-mother of the deceased.

No truth in Cannibal hotel story?

Well someone who found the human-heads-on-menu-in -Anambra story decidedly upsetting decided to research the story thoroughly and came up with lose ends. His/her opinion is posted below.

Restaurant Serving Human Flesh Shut Down in Anambra State

Well considering the “otokoto” legend of many years ago, I think there is a great possibility this story is true. What I do not subscribe to is the notion of a menu actually alerting people to the possibility of being served human flesh. As our nation descends into further chaos, we see more of such stories. Question is, what is the source of this human flesh being served? Freshly dug up corpses or, worse, freshly MURDERED people?

I guess we will never really know.

Police were tipped off about the restaurant (not pictured) by visitors
Army caps and ‘so many cell phones’ were also seized

Police arrested 11 people and closed a restaurant after two human heads wrapped in cellophane were discovered at a hotel restaurant that had been serving human flesh.

A tip-off led police to the macabre discovery in Anambra, Nigeria, with 11 people being arrested and AK-47 guns and other weapons being seized.

Human flesh was apparently being sold as an expensive treat at the restaurant, with authorities saying that roasted human head was even on the menu.

“I went to the hotel early this year, after eating, I was told that a lump of meat was being sold at N700, I was surprised,” a pastor who had visited the eatery said.

“So I did not know it was human meat that I ate at such expensive price.

“What is this country turning into? Can you imagine people selling human flesh as meat,” he added. “Seriously I’m beginning to fear people in this part of the world. ”

Another local added to the Osun Defender newspaper: “I always noticed funny movements in and out of the hotel; dirty people with dirty characters always come into the hotel.

“So, I was not surprised when the police made this discovery in the early hours of yesterday.”

The tabloid reported that two army caps, 40 rounds of live ammunition and ‘so many cell phones’ were also discovered by authorities.

Woody Allen responds to Dylan Farrow’s letter, blames Mia Farrow for sex abuse allegations

This is a dude who seduced and married his partner’s adopted daughter after having sex with her while she was still a minor.

Allen, 78, blasts  Farrow in a New York Times opinion piece for coaching her daughter, Dylan  Farrow, to fabricate sex abuse allegations in 1992. A source close to the Farrow  family says Dylan feels Woody Allen is try to discredit and silence her.

Wood Allen, seen here at the French premiere of ‘Blue Jasmine’ in Paris,  responded in a New York Times opinion piece to daughter Dylan Farrow’s claims  that he sexually abused her when she was a child.

Woody Allen fought back  on Friday against the allegation that he molested his daughter Dylan Farrow as a  child, again denying the accusation — just as he did when former flame Mia Farrow first pointed  the finger at him in the early 1990s.

In a scathing essay published on The New York Times website Friday night, Allen  responded to a letter Dylan Farrow, 28, published on Sunday that detailed  the alleged abuse. Allen blamed Mia Farrow for planting a fiction in Dylan’s  head as a young girl.

“Of course, I did not molest Dylan,” the 78-year-old director wrote. “I loved her and hope one  day she will grasp how she has been cheated out of having a loving father and  exploited by a mother more interested in her own festering anger than her  daughter’s well-being.”

Dylan Farrow recently wrote an open letter posted on the New York Times website detailing alleged abuse by Woody Allen when she was 7 years old.

Dylan Farrow recently wrote an open  letter posted on the New York Times website detailing alleged abuse by Woody  Allen when she was 7 years old.

Dylan Farrow responded with venom late Friday.

“Once again, Woody Allen is attacking me and my family in an effort to  discredit and silence me — but nothing he says or writes can change the truth,”  she said, according to a source close to the family. “For 20 years, I have never  wavered in describing what he did to me. I will carry the memories of surviving  these experiences for the rest of my life.”

Investigators had cleared Allen of the allegation that he molested Dylan at  Mia Farrow’s Connecticut home in 1992. The accusation was raised by Mia Farrow  the following year as she and Allen were in the midst of a nasty breakup fueled  by his relationship with Farrow’s young adopted daughter, Soon Yi Previn — his  future wife.

Woody Allen blasts ex-lover Mia Farrow's credibility, drawing on the paternity of their son Ronan Farrow, who Mia has suggested was fathered by Frank Sinatra. Here, Farrow and Allen at Madison Square Garden on April 30, 1983.

“The self-serving transparency of her malevolence seemed so obvious I didn’t  even hire a lawyer to defend myself,” Allen wrote in reference to Mia Farrow. “… I naïvely  thought the accusation would be dismissed out of hand because of course, I  hadn’t molested Dylan and any rational person would see the ploy for what it  was.”

He said the setting Mia Farrow chose in the narrative that he says she  invented — the attic — was ludicrous because he is a claustrophobe. And he said  he took a lie detector test and passed it but that Mia Farrow declined to take  one.

“Not that I doubt Dylan hasn’t come to believe she’s been molested, but if  from the age of 7 a vulnerable child is taught by a strong mother to hate her  father because he is a monster who abused her, is it so inconceivable that after  many years of this indoctrination the image of me Mia wanted to establish had  taken root?” Allen wrote.

Allen also tweaked Mia Farrow over the paternity of their son, Ronan, who  has been outspoken in his support of his mother and sister’s molestation  assertions. Recently, Mia Farrow has suggested that Ronan, with his blue eyes  and striking features, is the product of a fling she had with her ex-husband  Frank Sinatra while she was dating Allen.

“Is he my son or, as Mia suggests, Frank Sinatra’s? Granted, he looks a lot  like Frank, with the blue eyes and facial features, but if so what does this  say? That all during the custody hearing Mia lied under oath and falsely  represented Ronan as our son?” Allen wrote. “… Again, I want to call attention to the  integrity and honesty of a person who conducts her life like  that.”

‘Why I Think The Gay Community Should Come Out’ – Seun Kuti

In this piece Seun Kuti boldly discusses those parts of the new law he finds disturbing and raises very valid concerns.

Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti writes for OkayAfrica.com. Find it below…

I’m writing to condemn the recent anti-gay bill signed into law by  our President Jonathan Goodluck. This law – which contains penalties of  up to 14 years in prison for anyone in a same-sex marriage or civil  union, 10 years for anyone who attends a same-sex wedding, 10 years for  anyone involved with an LGBT organization, and even 10 years for anyone  who shows affection for someone of the same sex – should be cast out.  Since the law was passed, police across Nigeria have begun arresting and torturing dozens of our fellow citizens suspected of being gay. Don’t  forget that in some of our states, if you are found guilty of being gay, you could be stoned to death.

First of all, this law was unnecessary. There is not space in the  existing constitution for gay marriage. Our constitution is very  definitive of marriage as a union between man and woman. I see the  signing in of this law for what it was: a cheap shot by an  under-achieving government to discriminate against people because they  are different.

The president of Nigeria has a PhD, so he should understand better  than most the implications of the law. Even if he couldn’t stop the  senate from passing the bill, he had the power to delay signing it as a  way of protecting the gay community. The President has had the Petroleum Industry Bill in front of him for years, and he and our senators have  stalled on the bill calling for harsher punishment for corruption.  Meanwhile, Nigeria’s senate has just sanctioned pedophilia in our  constitution (girls that are as young as 9 years old can continue to be  married in if they are “physically developed enough” according to their  parents or prospective husbands) – so this the ban on homosexuality can  hardly be a so-called “moral” issue. This is simply a move for cheap  political points. Meanwhile, people’s lives hang in the balance.
Today I am writing this not as a fight for “gay rights”, I am  fighting for all rights. People should be allowed to express themselves  freely and this includes their sexuality. I believe all gay people  should come out and organize openly. I expect that society should allow  them live their lives as they please. It’s not a cultural thing – it’s a sexual thing. I have even heard  people say it’s Western culture imposed on us and if the West doesn’t  recognize polygamy we should not accept homosexuality. This is the kind  of scary ignorance that this kind of law will foster. (I can say for a  fact that the constitution of Nigeria does not recognize polygamy. We  have customary laws that are non-binding, but our secular courts and  national constitution does not allow polygamy even though it’s “our  culture.”) I believe in education as the answer to any problem and I know this  law does not educate positively. It just criminalizes and  institutionalizes hate towards the gay community.
Here’s a call to action: I believe the gay community should come out! They need to put love above fear. I also believe that gay people in  Africa not just Nigeria who are being targeted like this should put  pressure on the West by claiming asylum in their countries. I think we  are about to see a new wave of sexual refugees!
Love over fear should be the way forward. -Seun Kuti

A Rwandan woman hacked her husband to death  with a machete for fear that he would infect her with HIV, local media  reports.

Annonciata Kampororo, said to be middle aged,  hatched a plot with her son and sister to kill her husband Anaclet Majyambere,  48, after he inherited his brother’s HIV-positive wife.

It is a tradition in some rural communities  in Rwanda for a man to ‘inherit’ the widow of a family member in order to  provide for them.

It is believed the brother of Mr Majyambere,  a resident in Gisagara in southern Rwanda, died of AIDS.

His wife, a local liquor seller, feared that  the widow would also be infected and refused to sleep with Mr Majyambere until  he took an HIV test.

When he refused to do so, she ‘withheld his  conjugal rights’ and began planning the murder, Sowetanlive reported.
