I wish this story could provide more details regarding the circumstances that led to this. This is not the first time I am hearing such a story, I hope it will be the last but most likely not. The first such story I heard was narrated by a woman o the Oprah show some years back. She said she forgot the baby was in the car as she went about her day. Even when people asked how the baby was doing, it never came to her mind that she had left the child locked in the car outside. That mom put her forgetfulness down to a hectic schedule, which her husband readily affirmed (they were on the show together).
I really don’t want to judge but I just don’t understand how anyone ‘forgets’ their baby anywhere. I wonder what this particular lady’s story is.
A 1-year-old girl, left strapped in the backseat of a locked car, was pulled from the vehicle when a passer-by smashed a window. She later died at a hospital.

Victoria Marks, who celebrated her first birthday last week, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her mother, Vibha Marks, has been arrested on a charge of abandoning a child with serious bodily injury. She was released on a $50,000 bond on Saturday.
According to police reports, the child was strapped in a car seat in the rear of the car, which was parked in a lot outside an elementary school in Dallas, where her mother was a teacher.
“I just came out of my truck and I see something pink and I see there is a baby in there,” Gomez said. “I looked straight at the baby and it wasn’t moving or anything. I actually held her and saw her face…unimaginable.”
According to a statement from Dallas Independent School District, the mother of Victoria is a teacher who only recently started working at the Frank Guzick Elementary School. She’s been placed on administrative leave by the district. The district says it sent out a letter to parents after school telling them that both the staff and the students “were safe at all times.”
