Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart split: report

This is one cheating scandal where everybody involved lost out big time.

The man she chose to get involved with was married. His wife filed for divorce.

Pattinson found out about the affair and there was a momentary break up.

They then got back together again but like the Chris/Rihanna thing, there is just something about being publicly humiliated by a partner that just never helps the relationship going forward.

I am actually surprised they made it this far. Remember Elizabeth Hurley and her longtime boyfriend Hugh Grant? Well Hugh got busted buying the services of a prostitute, who was clearly physically less attractive than Liz. She managed to put on a game face but never quite made it to the finish line as they broke up 5 years later. Now there is nothing to say they broke up because of that particular incident, afterall break ups happen in Hollywood and indeed in all relationships all the time, but one can’t help wondering, did she ever really make her peace with that particular incident?

The Clintons might be the only famous western couple who chose to stick it out after a sex scandal that almost cost the President his seat, but there was way too much to lose. Dear Bill was almost always getting into trouble over one such thing or another, but the truth is, the partner on the receiving end never quite gets used to it. Enough pontificating. Find the story below.

The ‘Twilight‘ stars allegedly broke up after Stewart planned a birthday party for Pattinson and he was a no-show. The two have been on a rocky road of love since July of last year when she admitted to cheating on him with ‘Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.

The dead and then undead romance of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart bit the dust again.

“Twilight” stars Pattinson and Stewart have called it quits, driving a stake through the flagging on-again, off-again, three-year love affair millions of Twihards enjoyed sinking their teeth into.

A source told People magazine the couple, who played the sheepish Bella Swan and her vampire soul mate Edward Cullen for five “Twilight” movies, broke up amid online reports that Pattinson was a no-show at his own 27th birthday party that Stewart organized.

“Kristen totally went out of her way to make Rob’s birthday super special,” a friend of Stewart’s told the blog Hollywood Life Friday. “She invited friends over to go swimming and just hang out for the late afternoon and evening. At the last minute, Rob said he didn’t want to make his birthday a big deal and said he was just going to hang with the guys. Well, obviously this completely pissed off Kristen.”

Friends say team Stew/Patz’s romance has been on the rocks ever since Pattinson returned from a nine-week Australian film shoot for his upcoming movie “The Rover,” in late March. The two seemed fine, though, when they attended the Met Gala on May 6.

A rep for Stewart would not comment on the reported break-up.

The couple first hit the skids in July 2012, when Us Weekly reported Stewart was having an affair with her much older and married “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, 41.

Stewart issued a public apology to Pattinson after the affair was made public.

“This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect, Rob,” she wrote. “I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

  1. The franchise has ended, so there is no need to pretend any more. What TWILIGHT has put together, it now has torn apart!
